Global law enforcement agency International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) issued a notice just weeks after South Korean authorities issued an arrest warrant for Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon. Red Notice enables South Korea to trace “temporary arrest” and seek assistance from global law enforcement bodies in “temporary arrest”[ing] A person is pending for extradition, surrender or similar legal action.”

Just weeks after South Korean authorities issued arrest warrants for Do Kwon and his associates, global law enforcement agency International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) Allegedly Issued a red notice for co-founder of TerraForm Labs. The issuance of the notice reports that Kwon is no longer living in Singapore as the Korean authorities initially thought.

According to Interpol, red notices are “issued to fugitives either for prosecution or for serving sentences.” Red Notice enables South Korea to trace “temporary arrest” and seek assistance from global law enforcement bodies in “temporary arrest”[ing] A person is pending for extradition, surrender or similar legal action.”

As reported by Bitcoin.com News, South Korean prosecutors have accused Kwon and five other Terraform Labs affiliates of violating the country’s capital markets law. Kwon also faces other charges that prosecutors have not disclosed.

In his initial response to reports that Korean authorities had issued an arrest warrant for him, Kwon insisted in a September 17 tweet that he was not on the run. Instead, he claimed that he was cooperating with “any government agency that has shown interest in communicating.”

The CEO of TerraForm Labs has not issued a response to reports that show Interpol has issued a red notice.
