TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) — A robust earthquake struck southeastern Taiwan on Saturday night, toppling objects from retailer cabinets, collapsing a home and interrupting rail service on the island, however there have been no quick studies of deaths, media reported.

Taiwan’s Central Information Company mentioned the 6.4 magnitude shallow quake was centered north of Taitung County on the island’s jap shore.

It partially collapsed an uninhabited home in Hualien County, about 100 miles north alongside the coast, inflicting no casualties. The Taiwan Railways Administration mentioned trains linking Hualien and Taitung had been quickly halted and 5 different high-speed rail companies canceled till security checks are carried out.

Metro programs within the capital, Taipei, and southern Kaoshiung metropolis have been quickly suspended.
